An optimal uterine lining (endometrium) is required for the embryo to implant. A thin lining may be the underlying cause for early miscarriages or failed implantation. This failure of implantation could be in a natural cycle, IUI as well as an IVF cycle.
For IVF, research demonstrates how acupuncture treatments can positively impact uterine lining by increasing the blood flow and support pregnancy. The studies showed an improvement in the blood flow after 6-8 treatments and we recommend this protocol for patients ahead of their scheduled procedure.
